The Moonshiners named Country Band of 2015 by The Georgia Music Awards

We are honored to named by the Georgia Music Awards as the Country Band of the Year!

Cam and I attended the event on Saturday, August 14th at the Buckhead Theatre.

We had a great time and made a bunch of new friends – Halcyon Way (Rock Band winner), Justin Duke (Male Country Vocalist winner) and his folks and brother from Vidalia, Nate, Zoe Clarke (and her mom Mauren), Zac Brown’s old fiddle player, Nate – the Americana nominee, Omar and many others.

We were excited just to be nominated so imagine our surprise.

Georgia has a rich history of amazing musicians. Based on what we saw, the future is very bright. We’re excited to be a part of Georgia’s music scene.

  1. Really lovely story Russ, thank you for sharing. I’m really enjoying your music, great sound, and vocals.

I would not be songwriting/singing if not for my sister. Before she died, she made me promise to get back into my music. It took me 7 years but I am doing it. A lot of my songs are about my sister, my family, and people I know.

If you are ever looking for new material to sing, please let me know, I am more interested in songwriting for other talented people. You can listen to my music on soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/catleblanc

I appreciate your time, look forward to hearing more of your music 🙂
